Willow & The Family Ace
Willow and the Family Ace is a self-published comic. The name of the comic is a tribute to the group Sly & the Family Stone. The premise surrounds a group of AroAce kids, all from various racial, ethnic,, religious backgrounds who have powers but aren't quite superheroes. The comic tackles things like adoption, sexuality, family struggles, mental health, etc. While having a couple laughs along the way!
Themes such as Asexuality and Aromanticism pop up alot throughout Willow as most if not every character is on that spectrum. Two of the main characters Loverboy and Knightmare are in a Queerplatonic Relationship/Partnership.
Currently Willow & The Family Ace is my most worked on project, resulting in me starting a Webtoon for the project which is steadily growing in readers.
Maxx Riot
Maxx Riot is another comic I've been working on, a zine formatted comic that follows the misadventures of Maxx and her two girlfriends (Polyamorous, not besties). Max was never born but somehow, she met Ancantha and Nya, and somehow, they explore liminal spaces in the land between the supernatural realms.
What's that old biblical saying? "But better off than either are those who had never been born, who have never seen the evils that is done under the sun."Maxx knows it all too well.
Graveyard Weeds
Bear with me here, you know the comic I was just explaining? Maxx Riot? Yeah so this is a sort of spin-off to that.
The way it's connected is that all the events in this series takes place in the real world and only to characters Ancantha and Nya know personally like Ancantha's sister Revella.Revella and her friends just live their best alt lives in town dealing with the daily drama that comes with being a young adult in love, with jobs, and with family that mysteriously falls off the face of the earth for hours on end.
Cast of characters include, Sunshine the Blonde Bombshell, her sister Circe and Circe's best friend Balsius. Revella and her gang (Josie, Wilderose, and Tarvo), and there's some kid that only wears the Chicago flag as his Punk battle vest, named Chicago Kid.Check out a sneak peek of what I'm cooking up comic-wise for the story for Circe and Balsius below!
